On the outskirts of Sant Privat d’en Bas, in the heart of the Garrotxa, this traditional Catalan masia stands in the middle of the so-called Catalan Switzerland: meadows, forests and dormant volcanoes surround the property, with a silence broken only by the wind and the resident horses.
The house has been carefully restored, preserving the original elements —exposed stone, wooden beams, fireplace— and adding every modern comfort. A perfect choice for large groups who want to unplug from city noise without giving up comfort, in a protected setting next to the Volcanic Zone Natural Park.
With capacity for 10 to 20 guests in 7 bedrooms across three floors, large common areas with games room and pool table, garden with barbecue and a shared pool with the rest of the complex, it is ideal for big family reunions, celebrations or getaways with friends.
Inside: three floors of restored masia
The interior is distributed across three floors with large, bright and warm spaces designed for big groups. On the ground floor: main dining room, fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, lounge with deep sofas and a traditional fireplace, and a games area with pool table. The upper floors host the bedrooms across different levels. Heating and Wi-Fi throughout.
Outside: meadows, woodland and shared pool
The estate opens onto an open, natural and unspoilt setting, surrounded by meadows and woodland that ensure privacy and silence. The garden has a barbecue, outdoor furniture and shaded areas. Outdoor amenities —garden, pool and farm— are shared with the other houses of the complex. In season, the shared pool is the perfect refreshing plan for groups after a day of hiking.
Garrotxa: volcanoes, beech forests and medieval villages
The Garrotxa is one of the most singular regions in Catalonia: 40 protected volcanic cones, beech forests grown on lava, medieval villages and a distinctive gastronomy —cuina volcànica— worth stopping to taste. Within minutes by car: the Volcanic Zone Natural Park, Fageda d’en Jordà, Santa Pau, Castellfollit de la Roca, Olot and the medieval gem of Besalú.
